Summer 2026: A 30 local businesses portrait Project.
When?
When its best for you? Choose any date.
Thursday, Friday are best for me to group multiple appointments into the same day & work effectively. But if you have a different preference then that is absolutely possible.
What do you receive?
Everyone receives the best images from the day. As the sessions are very short you will receive 3 – 12 edited images in print and social media ready JPG .
Duration
15 – 45 minutes per photo session (& 30 to 90 minutes photo editing time for each business).
The price?
Affordable, starting from $125 in Inner Richmond. A modest, small-business-friendly fee. The goal of this project is to support small local businesses. Other locations = A travel surcharge depending on location.
The Goal?
To support as many businesses as I can.
Why?
To help small businesses have new images to share in their Google Maps listing, on social media or website. Both are essential for better discoverability.
And to help me return from career hiatus at age 49.5, because it feels a bit daunting to start over. This project will be mutually beneficial.
The catch?
None, you don’t even need to smile. You don’t have to show your face if you prefer not to, but it would help your potential customers feel more welcome and I would of course also love to also capture a portrait.
Who owns the images?
Good question. Usually the photographer retains full copyright of images but you can use your images freely for your marketing and make posters if you like. =)
Permissions:
You grant me permission to use your images for my portfolio to promote myself publicly: e.g. sharing the best images to social media, write an article for a local newspaper about small businesses in the neighborhood.
These permissions are mutually beneficial, but can limit the permissions you grant. It’s in your control.
Don’t want to be in my portfolio but would like images taken for your business? (or personal portrait?)
You can schedule your full price photo-session and receive more images, more time and also get the option to ask for edit revisions if you notice anything in the frame you’d like me to edit.
Where is the sample portfolio?
You can get a feeling for my lifestyle photography style here: https://over7seas.smugmug.com/
I enjoy images that feel warm and welcoming.
They aren’t yet a portfolio of what I would like to do in the future but they might give you an idea of my style.
How to contact me?
You can reach me using the contact tab on this website. 🙂
(More recently I took photos for the Michelin Restaurant Atelier Crenn, and they were published by a gourmet magazine: https://www.instagram.com/p/CncDm4UIO-L/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link This is not enough to build a new career on but it may indicate that I am somewhat trustworthy.)
